Our Story
Specialty Coffee in Rural New Mexico
Clayton, NM lies on the Old Santa Fe Trail. For years Clayton has been visited by Dinosaurs, Indian Tribes, Cowboys, Outlaws and many others traveling through the old west.
Clayton is known for the well preserved dinosaur tracks that are located at Clayton Lake as well as for the hanging and decapitation of a train robber known as Black Jack Ketchum. We are a rural community that appreciates our traditions, freedoms, and our slower way of life. We raise our families and animals humbly with the help of our Lord above. We embrace the cowboy way, come together and push on, through the droughts, high winds, and the occasional storms in life.
Owners Rustin and Jennifer Mock are natives to their hometown Clayton, NM. Both the Mock’s and Swagerty’s have lived, raised families and grown businesses in the community and surrounding area for over a century.
Now we have the privilege of specialty roasting and blending coffee beans in the 100 year old feed mill, right in the heart of downtown Clayton. We also serve specialty coffee in the converted feed store next to the mill along with breakfast, sodas and ice cream. We enjoy serving our community and the many travelers that come in throughout the year. Now you can enjoy our fresh roasted coffee where ever you live.
